CCP looks to digitise all existing records

PANJIM: In a bid to eliminate paper and to keep up with the fast changing digital world, the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) has forwarded a proposal to Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd (IPSCDL) for developing an e-governance portal for digitising all existing records of the corporation.
CCP also said that IPSCDL has urged the council to pass a resolution on this. The matter will be placed before the council meeting scheduled on August 30.
“We want to do away with paper. CCP has proposed an e-governance solution wherein we can digitise all old records into an e-file. This will help do away with issues such as misplacement of records. All the files will be digitalised,” CCP Commissioner Ajit Roy said.
He added, “The proposal has been moved to IPSCDL. The resolution regarding this shall be taken by the council on the CCP ordinary meeting scheduled for August 30.”
