PANJIM: Porvorim police are looking out for unknown miscreant/s for damaging the window panes of the Our Lady of Candeleria Chapel during the intervening night of Sunday-Monday. Following this, police have deployed pickets to ensure the incident is not repeated.
“The Chapel’s two window panes on the rear side were damaged. We found a stone inside the Chapel,” Porvorim PI Paresh Naik told Herald.
The police have registered an FIR against unknown persons for the offence and a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused. “We have placed pickets at the site to ensure the Chapel’s safety. Our probe is underway,” he said.
