PANJIM: Recent Police Cup Champions, FC Bardez have roped in Cohiba Bar and kitchen, as their main sponsor for the rest of the football season, in Candolim, recently.
As part of the partnership, Cohiba will provide kit to the squad and also open up a merchandise stall at the venue and will promote the club.
FC Bardez is the new kid on the block, having been launched just two months back. In that short span of time, under the legendary former India Coach Armando Colaco, they have lifted the much coveted Police Cup.
The local Goan Club is also going great guns in the ongoing, Goa Football Association’s Goa Professional League. The team which is mix of youth and experience has provided a shock to some of the more household names in Goan Football.
Apart from local Goan fans, FC Bardez also has a large following in the gulf among Non-resident Goans.
