PANJIM: Desire Boys Valpoi got the better of Vailankanni Boys, Calangute 4-2 to enter the quarter-finals of the London Cup floodlit football tournament, organized by Siridao Sport Club, at River Plate ground, Siridao, on Sunday.
Millin gave the lead with a strike in the 15th for Valpoi but Calangute Boys played some quick short passes as Mendes netted the equalizer in the 28th minute after being set up by Savio.
In the second session, Millin displayed good skills to net his brace. Calangute Boys continued in search of a goal but the Valpoi defence stood their ground.
Valpoi side made it 3-1 through Mozan while Octavio rounded off the tally.
In the dying minutes, Hayson reduced the margin with a powerful shot.
