MARGAO: Day one of filing of nomination papers saw not a candidate from Salcete filing papers for the March 3 Assembly polls.
However, information from the district Collectorate stated that around 15 nomination papers were taken by prospective candidates from the election officials.

As per the arrangement made by the district election officials, barring the constituencies of Cuncolim and Curtorim, the returning officers for the remaining constituencies of Fatorda, Margao, Benaulim, Navelim, Nuvem and Velim will be sitting on the fourth floor of the District Collectorate building.
Nomination papers for the constituencies of Cuncolim and Curtorim is the office of the deputy collector, land acquisition on the second floor of the collectorate building.
