Ponda: The people of Ponda have been facing a major problem whenever they visit the Ponda main market as parking space is difficult for them to find. They have demanded that the Ponda Municipal Council addresses this issue and makes adequate arrangements and space for parking.
They also point out that most of the roadside parking space as well as the space in front and behind the new market complex is occupied by vendors either to sell their wares or park their vehicles. Locals thus demanded for proper demarcation of parking space for visitors and vendors & shop owners.

The Ponda Market Vendors Association has also repeatedly submitted memorandums asking for the clearing of encroachments on footpaths. They have demanded that throughout the week, no vendors be allowed to encroach the footpaths, which then block space for walking of customers. They also point out that customers buy goods from the roadside vendors and don’t visit their shops inside the market.
