MARGAO: Hyderabad FC secured a dramatic injury-time equaliser through Allan de Souza Miranda (90+1′) to draw 1-1 with FC Goa in a heated Indian Super League match, at the Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, on Wednesday. Both teams ended the game with 10 men following red cards to Borja Herrera and Alex Saji.
Armando Sadiku broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute after missing earlier opportunities. His well-placed shot into the top-right corner came from a sustained FC Goa attack, sparked by Boris Singh’s cross and Dejan Drazic’s deflected header.
Hyderabad FC’s Allan Miranda salvaged a point in added time, converting a low cross from Isaac Vanmalsawma into the bottom-left corner to outpace the Gaurs’ defence.
The match saw missed chances and intense battles. Sadiku struck the post early and missed an open net after a swift move from Brison Fernandes. Hyderabad goalkeeper Arshdeep Singh and the defence held firm under pressure, while Isaac and Miranda’s late combination sealed the draw.
Borja Herrera was sent off in the 59th minute for an incident involving Alex Saji, who himself received a second yellow card in the 72nd minute for a foul on Sadiku. Both dismissals added to the game’s high-stakes drama.
