Cigarettes and Gutka Seized Near Carmel College; Shop Violated Tobacco Act

The Maina Curtorim police have seized tobacco products from a general store located near Carmel College, after it was found selling cigarettes and gutka within 100 yards of an educational institution—a clear violation of Section 6 of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), 2003.

During the inspection, police seized 55 packets of cigarettes of various brands and several gutka packets from the premises.
