rnRiding on a fine brace by Vishal Rodrigues, defending champions, Guardian Angel Higher Secondary, Curchorem beat Don Bosco Farm High School, Sulcorna 2-0 to win the Quepem Taluka Under-17 Subroto Mukherjee inter-school football tournament at Tilamol Panchayat ground, Quepem on Saturday. Guardian Angel were leading 1-0 at the breather.
rnGuardian Angel went into attack and forced the opponents on the backfoot with striker Vishal Rodrigues scoring in the 20th. Vishal scored again after the interval.
rnFr Edwin Barracho, principal, Don Bosco Farm HS was the chief guest and distributed the certificates. Earlier, John Fernandes, APEO welcomed. Raymond Pereira, Quepem TSO proposed the vote of thanks.
