PANJIM: On Monday afternoon an accident was reported at the Atal Setu Bridge. In an attempt to overtake a truck, an over speeding Mapusa registered four-wheeler rammed into a divider and broke two poles.
Police on site informed Herald TV that no casualties were reported. The accident caused a massive traffic jam along the Porvorim-Panjim route.

Superintendent of Police Traffic Pramod Shirvoikar who was present at the spot informed Herald that there were no casualties reported. The accident caused a massive traffic jam along the Porvorim-Panjim route.
Now the question arises that are the speed cameras actually installed? And if installed are there even working. As team Herald did a double check on Monday, post-accident, but failed to find any camera’s visible on this bridge but only found some potholes and display board of speed monitor camera on bridge, but no cameras.
