PANJIM: Three out of eleven fire fighters, who tested positive for COVID infection in the last few days, are back in the frontline service after testing negative and completing home quarantine period.

The three personnel joined their duty at their headquarters Directorate of Emergency and Fire Services, on Monday.
The department has so far reported 11 cases of whom three are back on duty while two are under home quarantine and remaining are under medical supervision.
A senior official said that while maximum five positive cases were reported at headquarters, three were from Vasco Fire Station while two were from Curchorem Fire Station and one from Kundaim Fire Station.
The first case was reported during the first week of July.
The fire personnel have been actively carrying out their duties amidst COVID crisis. Besides, Fire and Emergency Services, the fire fighters are largely involved in sanitisation of several places where COVID cases are reported.
