VASCO: Around 70 families from Zorint, Sancoale, expressed concern over the village’s dilapidated approach road and the pending de-silting work of a major nullah beside the road.
“The road leading to our ward was tarred around 15 years ago, and after that the concerned officials never looked at it again. Today, the whole 600-meter road is full of potholes. It’s the same with the nullah that takes the rain water to the Arabian Sea. They promised to de-silt this nullah a long time ago, but it is still not done,” said a local.
The villagers urged the authorities to repair the road and, if possible, complete the work of the nullah’s retaining wall, along with the de-silting. They said the village was facing a flood-like situation.
