SANGUEM: Irked over constant power supply failures in Sanguem, the locals led by MLA Prasad Gaonkar and accompanied by the sarpanchas and panchas of village panchayats in Sanguem have called for a morcha to the Electricity Department Office on July 11.
Since the last few days, frequent power cuts in the town area and no power supply for long hours in the remote villages have become a regular feature with the Electricity Department officials themselves being not sure as to when the power supply will be restored.
The morcha is called to highlight the issue of power supply in Sanguem so that the higher authorities get to know the functioning of Electricity Department at Sanguem and act favourably on the issue.
