MARGAO: The South Goa Advocates Association has called for an interactive debate with candidates fielded by political parties to contest the South Goa Parliamentary Constituency at the Ravindra Bhavan on April 12, at 10 am.
The candidates of all political parties whose nominations have been accepted have been invited and have confirmed their participation to speak on their manifestos and then answer questions from the audience. Each candidate shall be allotted 15 minutes to speak on the manifesto.
Dr. Marian Pinheiro, former principal of V M S College of Law has consented to be the moderator for the debate.
The debate has been called by the South Goa Advocate Association as it is the elected representatives who frame laws and thereafter it is lawyers who in conjunction with the judiciary are required to interpret and uphold the same.
Citizens are eagerly looking forward to hear their prospective Member of Parliament.
