PANJIM: With a focus on supplement syllabus-based education system, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE), is exploring possibility of tying up with Economic Development Corporation (EDC) for early orientation of students of class XI and XII in entrepreneurship, innovation and business.
GBSHSE has organized one-day workshop on “Development of Entrepreneurship for self employment among students” on August 16, wherein, one teacher per higher secondary, either from general stream or vocational, would trained and promoted as master trainers to take-up training for the students in their respective institutions.
In a communication to heads of higher secondaries, Goa Board secretary Bhagirath Shetye said the Executive Council of the Board in its meeting resolved to promote a vibrant Entrepreneur Culture and Business ecosystem so that young minds are encouraged from beginning.
“In this direction to supplement and complement the syllabus based education System, GBSHSE needs to explore the feasibility of co-operating with EDC, in areas of mutual interest with vision of early orientation of students of Goa to culture of entrepreneurship, Innovation and Business,” Shetye said.
Consequent, the board official held meeting with EDC and decided to organise workshop for the teachers, who would be trained in the specific areas.
Shetye said the teachers attending this workshop will be master-trainers and will take-up the training in this arena for the students in his/her schools in future in co-ordination with EDC.
