ALDONA: HDFC Bank in association with Aldona Panchayat launched the Online Payment Gateway at the panchayat premises on Monday.
With this facility the residents can now pay their house tax online via any debit card or net-banking facility from the comfort of one’s home or office.
The gateway was launched by Aldona MLA, Glenn Ticlo in the presence of senior team members of HDFC Bank.
The initiative will reduce the time spent on commuting and standing in queues to make the tax payments.
It also reaffirms HDFC Bank’s position as one of the largest facilitators of online payments in rural India. The initiative is part of the digital bank’s focus on customer convenience, access and delight, using technology as an enabler.
The panchayat also announced the installation of new signboards in the panchayat jurisdiction.
The handing over of a crematorium for SCs of Corjuem was done by chief guest Adv Carlos Ferreira Alvares.
He donated the land and crematorium has been built at a cost of Rs 3.5 lakh.
Aldona panchas were also present.
