Shinde took charge of office after his predecessor Venancio Furtado was given a warm farewell by the Collectorate staff. Venancio will now join as the Director of Municipal Administration.
Venancio’s transfer came on the eve of the foundation laying for the work of the Dharbandora sub-divisional officer. Credited for taking administration to the doorsteps of the people, Venancio had prepared the ground work for the Dharbandora sub-divisional office.
Sources said that the new district Collector has promised the Collectorate staff and employees to carry forward the people-friendly initiatives taken by the outgoing Collector.
