PANJIM: Nathan Vales, Shirley Mergulhao claimed the inter-Seraulim men’s singles and women’s singles titles respectively organised by United Sports Club of Seraulim at the Seraulim Church court on Sunday.
Nathan won the title for the second time in-a-row when he got the better of Kevin D’Souza 21-18, 21-17.

Shirley defeated Marolif Fernandes 21-12, 21-14 in ladies singles.
Results: Men’s doubles – Conroy Fernandes and Nelly Fernandes beat Nathan Vales and Rayner Dias 21-19, 21 -17.
Veterans singles: Sunil Shanke beat Steven Fernandes 21-17, 21-14. Mixed doubles: Joshua Rodrigues and Sneha Fernandes beat Adriel D’Souza and Matty Vaz 21-18, 21 -19.
Senior ladies singles: Saloni Rodrigues beat Siona Fernandes 21-17, 21-17. Junior boys singles: Keith Rodrigues beat Alton Fernandes 21-16, 21-19.
Junior girls singles: Jolinda Noronha beat Raizel Dias 21-19, 21-15. Sub-junior boys singles- Aldrich Fernandes beat Kayden Vaz 21-10, 21-15.
Sub-junior girls: Kailyn Fernandes beat Kiara Fernandes 21-16, 21-17
Following individual prizes were awarded: Individual Prizes were also awarded: Upcoming player Ansal Barreto. Seniormost player Savio Vales. Best all-rounder performance Kevin D’Souza. Most promising player Austin Fernandes. Best smasher Grayson Fernandes.
The matches were officiated by Franklin Fernandes and Austin Fernandes.
Fr Benjamin Sacramafilla, Seraulim Parish Priest was the chief guest. Poli D’Cruz, president of the club was the guest of honour and gave away the prizes along with other special invitees Virginia Fernandes, Savio Vales, Amenia Da Costa, Marolif Fernandes, Genevieve Vaz and Pio Vales.
