VAGATOR: A Vagator local complained that a starred hotel located on the hill was polluting the beach by discharging sewage water on it. Upon receiving a complaint from a local from Vagator, the officials of the Health Department conducted a site inspection on Friday.
The health officials took notes and water samples and assured the locals that they would return on Monday to test the water.

Jarwish Moniz, who filed the complaint said this is not the first time that the hotel has discharged the sewage, but earlier too they have done so. “They sewage is not only discharged on the beach but many other places as well. When the Health Department officials come for inspection, they stop the discharge.”
“Earlier I had called up the Health Department but the officials were not in a position to conduct the site inspection, but they managed to come today. There was no water here. They have a swimming pool and may be a kitchen too from where they are discharging it as there is neither a spring here,” Moniz claimed.
