PANJIM: The Goa University will conduct the VI Semester End Examination (SEE) for the under-graduate (UG) programmes offered by the Varsity in general education via an online mode from July 1 and for the affiliated colleges from July 9 onwards.
In a Special Ordinance issued on Monday, the University has said that the due weightage will be given to previous semesters to reflect the overall performance of the students in the programme of study.
University Registrar Prof Radhika Nayak said that all the examinations will commence from July 9 onwards for programmes offered by the affiliated colleges and from July 1 onwards for programmes offered by the University departments.
“The examinations will be conducted in online mode only,” she said adding that all pending Intra-Semester Assessment /CIA for all students will also be conducted in online mode only.
Nayak said that for the declaration of the result for all BA, BSc, B.Com, BCA, the 50 per cent of marks of the previous semester, 20 per cent marks of the Intra-Semester Assessment (ISA) and 30 per cent marks scored in the Semester End Examination will be considered.
“For the purpose of calculating the final result, including practical component for BBA Programme, 50 per cent weightage shall be assigned to the CIA component of each paper and 50 per cent weightage will be of SEE,” she added further.
Detailing out the method of examination, the University said there will be only one question paper per subject per college of two hours each and the same will be sent to students via a Google Classroom, Moodle, e-mail, Whatsapp etc.
