PANJIM: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda thrashed Velsao Sports and Cultural Club 5-1 to move into quarter-finals of the 24th Lourdes Festival Soccer, organised by United Club of Utorda in association with Sports Authority of Goa, at Utorda ground, on Monday.
Don Bosco started brightly and took the lead in the 15th minute through a self goal.
In the 23rd minute, Custodio Andrade doubled the lead with a deft placement.
At the half hour mark, Noel Pinto scored a solo goal after dribbling past couple of Velsao defenders, before shooting past the helpless keeper to make it 3-0..
The Fatorda team led 3-0 at the break.
Crossing ends, Velsao SCC pulled one back through Domnic Soares.
However, Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda scored two more goals through Melvin Furtado and Joel Carama in the 53rd and 61st minute respectively.
