ESG refutes allegation of irregularities in IFFI works tenders

Addressing the media, TOC member Rajendra Talak said the charges against the committee are baseless and the people making the allegations are unaware of the basics of the ESG tendering procedure.
“The tendering committee has gone through a transparent procedure. These allegations are baseless and everyone is welcome to the ESG office for any clarification on the how the tendering procedure is taken up,” Talak said.
He added that the tender document states that it is a creative concept cum artistic work and the technical evaluation as per tender clause 49, states that the tender has to be done before opening of financial bid.
“In the tender it is said that appointment of vendor shall be made on combined quality-cum-cost based selection and the tendering bid was carried through evaluation criteria, in which the company applied for bid shall have an annual turnover of Rs 10 crore per year, experience in event management and technical presentation showcase and methodology of décor work with description of minimum one assignment similar to this,” he added.
Goa Forward Party (GFP) had accused ESG of irregularity in the tender process for appointment of vendors, for artistic services and other IFFI activities, stating that no minimum bid price was mentioned.
