It took Sporting just six minutes to open the account with Stendly Fernandes’ strike beating the Churchill Bros goalkeeper.
Churchill Bros fought back gallantly but could not beat goalkeeper Bhaskar Jhalmi who effected some brilliant saves and thwarted Churchill’s moves. Churchill’s Aaron Barreto tried his best, but he found a hard nut to crack in Bhaskar, who rightly earned the Player-of-the Match award which was presented by Ralp Trindade.
