PANJIM: Verna SC defeated St Anthony, Assolda 2-1 to enter the quarter-finals of Nagoa panchayat cup football organized by Pax of Nagoa SC, Thursday, Nagoa at panchayat ground, Nagoa.
Verna took the lead in the 18th minute through Richard Dias. However, Assolda found the equalizer through Sunny Fernandes which left Verna custodian helpless.
Verna made it through Richard Dias in the 55th minute to emerge winners.
