Police, villagers and panchas were present at Curtorim over the contentious issue and Salcete Mamlatdar John Fernandes directed the Talathi of Curtorim villgae to report to the mamlatdar office and has given the charge of the village to the talathi of the adjoining Macazana village.
The panchayat however have maintained that they have already sent copies of their prior meetings to the mamlatdar where they had decided to utilise half the portion of the room occupied by the
talathi.
