After ensuring a success rate of 85 per cent, the students cell Convenor Sanket Arsekar said it was very peaceful, free and fair election throughout Goa. He also strongly objected to the behaviour of Dempo College of Commerce authorities towards the students. He pointed out that the principal’s actions of cancelling the UCR elections were uncalled for and said it pointed towards her inability to conduct the elections in her institution in fair and peaceful manner.
BJP-backed panel wins University elections
PANJIM: The BJP-supported panel for the University Class Representative (UCR) elections won 211 posts out of the 246 in all Goa University-affiliated colleges in the State.
