MAPUSA: St Xavier HSS Mapusa got the better of Govt HSS Valpoi by 2-0 margin in the semi-final of the North District U-17 Boys Subroto Mukerjee Football Tournament organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs.
It was Xavier Aryan Sawantand and Osrick Trindade who scored a goal each for St. Xaviers.
In the second semi-finals, Govt. HSS Sanquelim scraped past Dempo HSS Cujira by a 4-2 win via tie-breaker.
Yuuraj Gaonkar, Riszbon Fernandes,Maristan Pires and Russell Vaz shot on target for the Sanquelim side while Omkar Parwar and Aaron Dacosta scored for Dempo.
