A hit-and-run incident was reported at Pirachikond-Bicholim on Thursday, after a Karnataka-registered vehicle rammed into an electric scooter and fled the scene.
The scooter rider, identified as 49-year-old Mahendra Mandrekar, sustained minor injuries in the collision. He was given medical attention and is reportedly out of danger.

Police have launched efforts to trace the absconding vehicle based on eyewitness accounts and surveillance footage. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
