PONDA: Twenty-three-year-old Mushtak Ansari from Kundaim was killed in a collision between a two-wheeler and a tanker reported at Muslimwada Bhoma on Tuesday.
According to Ponda Police, the incident occurred at around 3 pm on the Ponda–Panjim highway near Muslimwada.
Mushtak and his friend 21-year-old Roshan Kumar were proceeding to Banastarim on a motorcycle. As they reached near Muslimwada road, the bike collided with an oncoming cement tanker, due to which Mushtak was seriously injured and was shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim.
However, he succumbed to his injuries at around 12.30 am. Roshan is undergoing treatment in Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim.
Ponda Police are investigating the case.
