PANJIM: Ibharim Wachira of Kenya and Rajeshri Tatihall emerged winners in men’s and women’s 21km categories respectively of the Panaji Marathon, organised by Stamina Sports held at SAG ground, Campal, Panjim, recently.
Henry Kiprano came second and Teddy Cardozo settled for the third spot in the men’s category while Marina Rebull was the first runner-up followed by Prutha Prabhudesai in the third place.
In the 10km men, MartinNdungu Nganga came first followed by Devrak K and Bijender Kumar in second and third respectively.
In the 10k women’s section, Sapana Patel ran home with the prize amount while Danita Daniz came second and Kavita Bhoir had to settle for the third spot.
In the 5km men’s section, Pradyum Naik won the title with Mangal Gond securing the second spot and Halesh K third.
In the 5km women’s section, Pooja Malgaonkar emerged winner with Sandra Carvalho in second spot and Wendy Barreto third.
Other results: 5km Boys: 1-Dev Kumar, 2 -Ashok Saterdekar, 3-Sanson Negredo; 5km Girls: Nicole Faria, Darshana Dangat, SaileeNaik; 3km Boys: Rajnesh Mishra, Shomit Sahu, Rajnish Vishwakarma; 3km Girls: Ayan Saores, Madhura Wadkar, Purva Gawade.
The tribe cup for the biggest group was won by Fit Swaggers, Panjim.
