MAPUSA: BAFF Sports Club hammered St Augustius, Pomburpa 8-0 in the GFA’s 3rd Division League match at Nachionola ground, on Wednesday.
Umang Naik fired in a hat-trick for BAFF in the 21st, 28th and 56th minute while Ritesh Harijan netted a brace in the 12th and 26th minute with Saroj, Durgesh Naik and Chandan scored a goal each to take the score tally to 8-0.
At Candolim ground, St Savio, Calangute scored a 6-1 win over Anjuna Gymkhana. Calangute led by a 3-1 margin at half time. Agnelo Fernandes and Namresh Kundaikar both scored a brace while Izahar Khan and Andrew Fernandes scored a goal each for the winners. Anurag Popkar managed to score the consolation goal for Anjuna.
