MARGAO: Cuncolim Police Station has booked a man from Quepem for assaulting and molesting a woman, following a complaint by a resident of Bombdamol, Fatorpa, Quepem. The complaint alleges that on July 24, at around 7.30 PM, the accused, Suresh alias Shailesh Naik from the same locality, threw coconut palm branches and thorny tree branches at the complainant.
As a result of the attack, the complainant fell and sustained injuries. Additionally, the accused allegedly touched her chest and forcibly pulled and tore her nightdress, thereby outraging her modesty.

The accused has been served a notice under Section 35/3 of the BNS Act. PSI Aditya Sawant of Cuncolim Police Station is overseeing the ongoing investigation.
