PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday launched the Prepaid Smart Card for all Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTC) and Mhaji buses. The card was launched at Mantralaya at Porvorim.

The Chief Minister said though one has to pay Rs 150 for the card, it will be reimbursed by way of payment for tickets.
“On the smart card, people will get a ten per cent discount besides there is a 50 per cent discount for students and senior citizens. Family cards are also available. One can apply online and the card will be delivered to them at the local KTC bus stand,” he said.
The Chief Minister said currently the card has been launched for intra-state buses but soon this facility will be extended to inter-state buses as well.
The facility was made available for Smart City buses in Panjim since August this year.
