MARGAO: Twenty teams representing 13 schools from across Goa have qualified for the semi-finals of a quiz contest titled “Life, Time, and Legacy of Mahatma Gandhi” jointly organised by Rotary Club of Margao and Marg Trust.
The final will be held on October 2. The preliminary round of the quiz was held recently wherein 293 teams representing 100 schools from across Goa had participated. The semi-finals will be conducted on September 29 and 30, between 10 am and 12 pm and 2 pm and 4 pm for a set of five teams each from the 20 selected. The top four teams of each semi-final will directly qualify for the final. The fifth team for the final will be chosen from the highest scoring team amongst teams finishing at second place in all semi-finals.

The guidelines and rules for the semi-finals which will be held online are individually communicated to the team members along with their respective schools. In case, any of the top 20 teams qualifying for semi-finals is unable to participate due to any reason then the teams from the reserve list will replace the outgoing team.

Shri Nirakar Vidhyalaya, Mashem (two teams); Loyola High School, Margao (two teams); Almeida High School, Ponda (two teams); Vivekananda Dnyanmandir Keri, Sattari (two teams); K B Hedgewar Vidhyalaya, Tisk-Ponda (two teams); New Educational Institute, Curchorem (two teams); Ravindra Kelekar Dnyanmandir (two teams); K B Hedgewar High School, Cujira (one team); S S Samiti High School, Dhavali (one team); Mustifund High School, Cujira (one team); Shradhanand Vidhyalaya, Poinguinim (one team), Sarvodaya High School, Curchorem (one team) and M and N High School, Margao (one team).
