OLD GOA: Water supply to Tiswadi taluka was disrupted for about an hour on Sunday evening, after plug cap of the water pipeline connecting Opa to Tiswadi got unplugged near the Banastarim Bridge.
The officials of PWD division III rushed to the site and temporarily repaired the pipeline.
Speaking to Herald, a PWD officer informed that the plug cap of the pipeline suddenly got unplugged and due to the pressure, water flowed along the highway.
“We have put a clamp to prevent the plugged hole from reopening, but we will work on the pipeline,” added the official. Corlim Acting Sarpanch Victor Pereira also rushed to the site to take stock of the situation.
