VASCO:  Huge potholes on the road leading to the Navy Children School (NCS) and other residential areas besides the Murgao Industrial Estate at Chicalim have turned it into a death trap. The PWD authorities have ignored requests by residents to sort the matter.
“We fear that students, pedestrian even bikers and car drivers may be severely hurt when the deep potholes fill up with rainwater during the monsoon season. We request the PWD authorities to kindly look into the matter as the potholes have been in existence for a very long time and the same has been posing a threat to NCS students and staff besides the other residents using this road,” said a senior NCS staff.
Similarly, local residents claim they have been experiencing severe hardships while commuting to and from their home since the last monsoon as the road was meant to be repaired. That however has not happened and the size of the potholes has kept increasing day by day.
