Girl falls off bus,seriously hurt

A 12-year-old girl from Ordhofond-Poinguinim was seriously injured, after she fell off from a bus at Ordhofond on Tuesday morning.
According to Canacona police, Movilla Countinho was traveling in a mini bus (GA-02-U-4068) to Margao, when she accidentally fell from the running bus. “The bus continued its journey even after the girl fell. Later, the bus which has reached at Char Rasta was subsequently placed under detention and brought to police station,” informed police. Police further informed that the girl sustained severe injuries. She was provided first-aid at Canacona, before being shifted to Hospicio in Margao, where she is convalescing. Police said the bus is presently under police detention, but did not reveal details how the girl could fall from a running bus, when the bus door is supposed to remain closed unless the bus is stationary. Police said further investigation is in progress.
