PANJIM: Vishnu Uskaikar was declared the champion of champions of “Mapusa Shree – 2014” 1st All-Goa Body Building Championship organized by Cuts & Curves Gym Mapusa on Friday.
Sudhir Kandolkar – ex. chairperson MMC & social worker inaugurated the event along with Sanjay Patil – president GBBFA, Dayanand Harmalkar, Mayur Sawkar, Smita Sawkar in the presence of all GBBFA officials. Glen Ticlo, MLA Aldona constituency was the chief guest on the occasion.
Cuts & Curves Gym Mapusa were awarded the team championship with Maxsan Fitness Hub, Margao coming in second in the category.
Mahesh Kavlekar was the best poser whereas Vidhyesh Kavlekar was adjudged the most improved bodybuilder. Sanjay Patil, Santosh Mapsekar, Satya Naik, Ravi Dessai, Viraj Arabekar, Tulshidas Shetgaonkar & Amoy Mascarenhas officiated the championship.
Results:
55kg: 1st place Hameed Khan, 2nd place Honu Gawde, 3rd place Mohamud Shaikh, 4th place Rohit Pednekar, 5th place Shubham Gauns.
60kg: Satish Kunkolkar, Laljeet chaudhary, Gurunath Narvekar, Samir Dicholkar and Rajnath Deshpande.
65kg: Vidhyesh Kavlekar, Matadan Mulla, Devendra Parwar, Avidh Morajkar and Suthil Dessai.
70kg: Mahesh Kavlekar, Brendon Barreto, Thirthraj Morajkar, Vaman Chopdekar and Vivek Dessai.
75kg: Vishnu Uskaikar, Museeb Patait, Umesh Shirvoikar, Sudharshan Girup and Ganpat Naik Khamini.
75+ kg: Rohan Govekar, Pratosh Pirankar, Harish Patil, Ashwesh Shetye and Isaq Shaikh.
