MARGAO: United Club of Telaulim beat Panchwadi United Sports Club 2-1 to enter into the semi-final of All Goa SWC Zaino inter village football tournament organized by Social Welfare Club of Zaino at Zaino ground, Velim on Saturday.
United Club of Telaulim dominated the opening sessions and kept their opponents on the back foot for major part of the game.
Persistent forays paid of the dividend when Allister Gomes slotted past the rival goalkeeper with snap shot. Spurred by the early success, United Club of Telaulim intensified their attacks and fired couple of salvos against the rival citadel.
Allister Gomes who was in thick action struck second time to give his team 2-0 cushion. Post resumption, United Club of Telaulim continued in same vein with their forwards trouble the rival defence with well orchestrated raids.
Panchawadi United Sports Club who were struggling reduced the deficit when Jaison Costa punted the ball to the far corner of the net.
