The Colvale Police have registered an FIR against five inmates of the Colvale Central Jail for allegedly assaulting an undertrial prisoner, identified as Mohammed Rehan Sharif.
According to police reports, the accused inmates — Vally D’Costa, Amar Kalal, Salik Bepari, Mandar Prabhu, and Vinod Sharma — allegedly attacked Sharif inside the jail premises. The incident reportedly took place within the barracks area, though the exact motive behind the assault is yet to be ascertained.
