Novena and Feast of Mae dos Pobres to Be Celebrated at Jesus Mary and Joseph Church, Nuvem

The annual Novena and Feast of Mae dos Pobres (Mother of the Poor) at Jesus Mary and Joseph Church, Nuvem, will be held from October 30 to November 9, 2025, continuing one of the parish’s most cherished traditions.

The Novena will begin on October 30, with the Feast Day celebrations taking place on the second Sunday of November — November 9, 2025.

Novena Mass Schedule:

  • October 31 (First Day): 5:30 AM, 7:00 AM, and 8:30 AM; Evening Mass at 5:30 PM.
  • November 1–8: Morning Masses at 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM; Evening Mass at 5:30 PM.
  • November 2 (All Souls’ Day): Regular Masses plus an additional Mass at 9:00 AM.

Feast Day Mass Schedule (November 9, 2025):

  • Early Morning Masses: 5:00 AM, 6:30 AM, and 8:15 AM.
  • Main Solemn Mass: 10:00 AM, celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Rev. Simao Fernandes.
  • Evening Mass: 5:00 PM.
  • Veneration of the Mae dos Pobres statue will begin at 3:00 PM, followed by a grand procession with participation from parishioners and devotees from across Goa and beyond.

The Feast of Mae dos Pobres is deeply rooted in Nuvem’s history, symbolizing faith, unity, and gratitude within the community. Alongside the liturgical celebrations, an annual fair featuring stalls selling furniture, household goods, food, and local delicacies will add a festive charm to the occasion.
