Tension continues to prevail in Calangute after a controversial ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ message appeared on LED display boards in Arpora and Baga earlier this week. The incident has sparked outrage among residents, who have demanded immediate and stringent action against those behind the display.
On Friday evening, a large group of locals gathered at the Calangute Police Station and met with the Police Inspector, urging authorities to treat the matter with utmost seriousness. They also submitted a memorandum calling for a detailed investigation into the incident and for measures to be put in place to prevent such anti-national acts in the future.
