Amid heightened vigilance following the recent car bomb blast in Delhi, the new director assured that stringent security measures are being implemented at Dabolim. These include the installation of advanced surveillance systems, increased patrols, and closer coordination with central security agencies to ensure passenger safety.

Speaking about Goa’s dual-airport scenario—Dabolim (public) and Mopa (private)—Akash Deep said that competition between the two airports is healthy. “Both have their own approaches; whoever delivers the best service will thrive,” he remarked.

Under his leadership, the Goa International Airport is expected to undergo significant operational improvements, balancing efficiency, safety, and passenger experience in the face of growing regional competition.
