Citizens have been urged to verify the authenticity of any challan only through the official government portal — echallan.parivahan.gov.in. In case of suspected fraud, individuals can report the incident to the national cybercrime helpline (1930) or file a complaint via cybercrime.gov.in.

Goa Police reiterated that all genuine traffic challans are issued only through official channels and never shared via WhatsApp or SMS from private numbers. The department also advised the public to remain cautious against cybercriminals exploiting digital payment systems to steal sensitive information.
