Ahraz Mulla has officially resigned from the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) after serving the organisation for 11 years, marking the end of a significant phase in his student political career and the beginning of a larger role within the Congress party.
Mulla, who previously served as NSUI State President and later as National General Secretary, described his tenure in the student wing as an important part of his political journey. During his time with the organisation, he worked closely with students and youth across the country, gaining experience and contributing to various initiatives.

His resignation comes at a time when the Congress party is preparing for key political assignments, including the upcoming Goa Assembly elections and the Ponda by-elections. Mulla indicated that he intends to take on broader responsibilities within the party as it gears up for these electoral challenges.
He also expressed gratitude to senior party leaders Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and former NSUI National President Varun Choudhary for their leadership and guidance, particularly in promoting democratic values and the Idea of India.
Mulla reaffirmed his commitment to the Congress party and stated that he would continue working to strengthen the organisation and serve the people in the future.
