The Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi has advised all Indian nationals in the United Arab Emirates to remain vigilant and calm amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia. In an official advisory, the Embassy urged citizens to strictly follow safety guidelines issued by UAE authorities and stay updated through official channels.
The advisory stated that UAE airspace and regular scheduled flight operations remain temporarily suspended due to the exceptional circumstances arising from the regional situation. However, Indian and UAE carriers have begun operating limited non-scheduled flights to various destinations in India in coordination with local authorities. Stranded Indian nationals have been asked to contact their respective airlines to avail themselves of these special services.
In a significant relief measure, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security has announced a waiver of overstay fines for visitors and others unable to leave the country due to the current disruption. The waiver applies to those stranded after February 28 whose visas have expired during this period.
Meanwhile, the Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India, Dubai, along with their outsourced passport, consular and visa service centres, continue to function normally.
For assistance, Indian nationals can access 24×7 helplines. The toll-free number is 800-46342, and WhatsApp assistance is available at +971 543090571. Queries may also be sent via email to [email protected] and [email protected].
The mission has assured the community that it remains closely engaged with UAE authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of Indian citizens during this period
