Residents of Tarimol in Sanguem have halted ongoing construction work on the Bendwada bridge, citing the absence of a Detailed Project Report (DPR).
Locals have strongly objected to the continuation of the project without proper documentation, raising concerns over transparency and procedural compliance. They insisted that work should not proceed until the DPR is made available for public scrutiny.
Residents also expressed dissatisfaction over what they described as a lack of attention from the area’s elected representatives, stating that neither the MLA nor the local councillor has taken responsibility for addressing their concerns.
The halt in work highlights growing tensions in the area, with locals demanding greater accountability and clarity before allowing the project to move forward.
