Aneet Padda’s Sister Reet Deletes Instagram Amid Backlash Over Calling Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ Propaganda

Aneet Padda’s sister, Reet Padda, has deleted her Instagram account amid fierce online backlash for branding Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 and films like The Kashmir Files as “propaganda.” The controversy erupted after screenshots of her critical comments went viral, drawing accusations of bias from fans and netizens.

Reet responded to an Instagram user, slamming Dhurandhar for its “government-friendly narrative” that justifies events like demonetisation through political speeches. She wrote: “Call it propaganda? Yep. Deny it? Not a chance.” Extending to The Kashmir Files and Kerala Files, she accused them of inflating figures, like claiming “32,000 women converted to Islam” from mere hundreds, to push anti-community narratives. “Take a sliver of truth, sprinkle in some absurdly inflated numbers,” she added, inviting “real ground reality” from informed sources.

Released March 19, Dhurandhar 2, sequel to the ₹1,300 crore-grossing 2025 hit, stars Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy infiltrating Karachi’s terror networks, with Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R.
