Major Security Scare as Car Crashes Through Delhi Assembly Gate

A dramatic security lapse unfolded at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Monday when an unidentified driver rammed his car through an iron barricade and gained access to the premises. The man briefly stopped inside, placed a bouquet outside Speaker Vijender Gupta’s office, and then sped away.

Authorities stated that the vehicle—a Tata Sierra with a Uttar Pradesh number plate—entered through Gate No. 2, stayed inside for around five minutes, and exited through the same gate without being stopped.

The bouquet left behind was checked and found harmless. Police have since located the vehicle and detained the driver for interrogation.

Officials are now probing how the individual managed to escape through a CRPF-guarded VIP gate despite the disturbance he caused. Access routes are being reviewed, and staff on duty during the breach are being questioned.
