Verna police smashed an illegal IPL betting operation in Sancoale during a late-night raid from 10:39 PM April 11 to 3:33 AM April 12. Targeting a first-floor hideout at Shindolim, officers caught four men red-handed taking bets on the Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Capitals match.
Four Arrested, Gadgets Seized
The accused: Pranjal Tiwari (23), Amar Dawda (33), Shashank Kumar Sahu (19) from Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, and Sandeep Singh (23), hailed from outside Goa. Police seized 10 mobiles, two laptops, a tablet, router, and Rs 37,000 cash, totaling Rs 2.5 lakh in value.

Charges Under Gambling Act
